| Cresson’s John and Genevieve Calandra Honored By Mount Aloysius College |

| Cresson, Pa. – During Commencement at Mount Aloysius College a Cresson couple, John and Genevieve Calandra, were honored for business and community leadership, and for their decades of quite philanthropy in support of many non-profit organizations across the Southern Alleghenies. Mount Aloysius President Tom Foley personally presented the couple with the Doctor of Social Justice degree, honoris causa, as a highlight of the 72nd Annual Commencement Convocation. The event was held at Mount Aloysius College in the Health and Fitness Center on Saturday, May 5th. During the event, President Tom Foley also conferred 12 masters’ degrees, 191 bachelor’s degrees and 195 associate’s degrees as 398 Mount Aloysius students joined the ranks of nearly 14,000 Mountie alumni worldwide. |

| Mount Aloysius To Create New Regional Venue |

| CRESSON-Pa. The Southern Allegheny Mountains will soon have a new multi-purpose venue. Officials at Mount Aloysius College broke ground today on a new facility called the Athletic Convocation and Wellness Center. Situated on the western edge of the 193-acre campus, the 87,350 square foot building is expected to be completed in mid 2014 at a cost of $25 million. Mount Aloysius College will complete construction with philanthropic support. |

| Mount Aloysius Hosts Marcellus Shale Drilling Discussion |

| CRESSON, Pa. – The general public is invited to attend a panel discussion on Marcellus Shale Drilling in the Alleghenies. Sponsored by chemistry students at Mount Aloysius College, the event is slated for Thursday, April 19th at 3:30 p.m. Panelists include J. Stephen Cleghorn, Ph.D.; David Field, Sr., geologists and director of geologic services for P. Joseph Lehman, Inc., Consulting Engineers, Hollidaysburg, Pa. and Dan Lapato, deputy director for external affairs for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources. The discussion will be held in the McAuley Hall Meeting Rooms, first floor, McAuley Hall. |

She comes to Mount Aloysius from the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health, Rockville, Md. where she served as a senior research associate. |

| Mount Aloysius Premieres Off-Broadway Hit “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” |

| Cresson, PA: The off-Broadway hit “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” will hit the stage at Mount Aloysius College’s Alumni Hall on March 29th, 30th and 31st . Curtain will go up at 8:00 p.m. each night for the hit play that features is a series of humorous songs and vignettes about relationships and the possibilities of dating, marriage, and beyond. The English and Fine Arts Department at Mount Aloysius College proudly presents the local premiere of the musical starring Jessica Costello, Anthony Hopperstad, Timothy Michrina, and Amy Wells. Directed by Sally Story with musical direction by Susan Brandt and choreography by Erica Deabenderfer and Pamela Young. Musicians for the show are Susan Brandt and Lisa Olshefski. |

| Mount Aloysius College Earns President’s Community Service Honors |

| Cresson, Pa. - Mount Aloysius College received notification today from the Harrisburg-based Pennsylvania Campus Compact that their community service efforts have earned them a place on the prestigious President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. The President’s Honor Roll, a national recognition, was launched in 2006. The Honor Roll annually highlights the role of colleges and universities in solving community problems and placing students on a lifelong path of civic engagement by recognizing institutions that achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes in the communities they serve. |
