Cresson, Pa. – The era is 1937, St. Louis, Mo. The Wingfield’s are a family of three making do during hard times. Daughter Laura’s world is small and fragile as is she. She lives under the wing of her mother, Amanda Wingfield, a faded flower struggling to raise two children – Laura and Tom - after her husband has left her. Enter Jim, Laura’s gentleman caller. Tom Wingfield narrates the play. “The Glass Menagerie,” written by Tennessee Williams, is the second offering from Mount Aloysius College’s new theater director, Nathan Magee. The curtain goes up Thursday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. in historic Alumni Hall at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, Pa. Additional shows are scheduled for Friday, November 16th and Saturday November 17th. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. each night. Cast for the Mount Aloysius College production of “The Glass Menagerie includes: Kolby Wasnick, of Summerhill, Pa. playing Amanada Wingfield; Tim Michrina of Portage playing Tom Wingfield; Pam Young of Gaithersburg, Md. as Laura, and Todd Craig of Portage playing Jim, the Gentleman Caller.
