CRESSON, Pa.: Marking the Celebration of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Mount Aloysius College invites the public to hear “What Does God Require of Us,” a panel discussion that promises to be as engaging as it is timely. The event will take place in historic Alumni Hall on Thursday, January 24th at 3:30 p.m.
Vice President of Mission Integration for Mount Aloysius College, Sister Helen Marie Burns, RSM notes the discussion topic is a Biblical reference directly from Micah 6:6-8. “This is multidenominational discussion,” she said. “And will include panelists from include panelists from several Christian churches. Each panelist will focus on the story of their own religious tradition, and address their contemporary approach to issues of peace and justice as it evolves from Christ’s Gospel message.”
Sister Helen will address the topic from the Roman Catholic perspective. Joining her on the panel will be Rev. Wayne Cleary, United Methodist tradition; Rev. Gerald Myers, Lutheran tradition, and Rev. Cory Hartman, Baptist tradition.
