Dubuque Named Advancement Vice President at Mount Aloysius College 01/28/2013
 

CRESSON, Pa. - Mount Aloysius College President Tom Foley has announced that Jennifer A. Jennifer A DubuqueDubuque recently of Boca Raton, Fla. has been named Vice President of Institutional Advancement at the College. In making the announcement, President Foley stated that Mrs. Dubuque brings two solid decades of service as an institutional advancement professional to her role at Mount Aloysius.  Most recently she served Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Boca Raton, Fla. as assistant vice president for development.

Mount Aloysius President Foley noted that Mrs. Dubuque brings with her a broad spectrum of experience in higher education development. “Jennifer was the stand-out among a strong group of candidates for this challenging role at Mount Aloysius College,“ he said. “Her solid fund-raising successes include her moving through the entire spectrum of traditional fund-raising roles in several colleges. She is personable, knowledgeable, detail-oriented and effective. We expect her to be a great asset to the executive team of Mount Aloysius College and to this community.”  

At FAU, Mrs. Dubuque was responsible for the daily planning and execution of the advancement programs for the school including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, donor relations, stewardship and development communications. In addition to managerial responsibilities, she served as contact person for the FAU Foundation board of directors and committee members. In the most recent fiscal year her team raised $16.5 million, exceeding goal by $1.1 million. 

Prior to her service at FAU, Mrs. Dubuque was associate vice president for development at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, N.Y.  While there she was responsible for their major gifts and annual fund programs. 

At Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., Mrs. Dubuque initially served as assistant director of individual gifts and gift planning before being promoted to associate director.  A major part of her role at Rensselaer focused on the creation of relationships with prospective leadership donors in support of a $1.4 billion capital campaign.

Launching her fund-raising career at Albany Law School, Albany, N.Y. as their annual programs associate; Mrs. Dubuque was quickly promoted to interim director of annual programs there. In this role she organized phone-a-thons, special events and annual alumni reunion weekends for the law school.  She was recruited by her Alma Mater, Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and served Marist as director of annual giving. As a graduate of Marist College, she worked closely with their alumni association executive board and regional alumni chapters to promote and support the mission of the college.

Jennifer Dubuque’s education includes a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication arts, earned cum laude from Marist College. She minored in psychology. She earned the Honors Certificate in Business Organization and Office Procedure at Crehan Commercial College, Dublin, Ireland.

Mrs. Dubuque’s professional memberships include the American Association of University Women (AAUW), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Association of Institutional Advancement & Development Professionals (AIADP).

Jennifer Dubuque and her husband, Daniel, are the parents of four children: Sean, age 18; twins, Connor and Megan, 13 years old, and Liam, age 10.
