Academic Advising

Consistent with Mount Aloysius College's Mission Statement, the Retention and Advising Office is committed to combining education for life with preparation for professional excellence. This office is responsible for coordinating the course registration process for all incoming, first-year students, as well as assigning all of the students to an academic advisor.

If you are a student undecided about a bachelor degree major or exploring more than one bachelor degree program, you should select Undecided (UN) on your admission application and you will be assigned to an advisor in Academic and Learning Support Services (ALSS). Provisional admission students, those students entering the College through the Mount Aloysius Academic Preparation Program (MAAPP), are assigned to the MAAPP coordinator.

If you are a student directly enrolled in a bachelor degree major or pre-major status you will be assigned to faculty advisors in those programs. Students interested in Associate degree programs will be placed in an Associate degree major and advised by faculty in those programs.

We closely monitor our students' academic performance to ensure their educational satisfaction and retention. Academic excellence is our priority, and personal attention contributes to students' educational and career achievements.
