Here at Mount Aloysius College, we’re committed to the success of our students. Whether you need help preparing for your next big exam, could use an extra set of eyes on your research paper, or just want some extra review time, peer and professional tutors are available.

Due to the College’s response to COVID-19 and the need for remote alternatives to the services that are usually provided in person, the Learning Commons will be temporarily amending the procedures for students to attain academic support such as Supplemental Instruction and Professional Tutoring.

Unfortunately, Peer Tutoring will not be offered during the remote period.

Peer Tutoring will not be available until classes are held on campus.

Step 2: Officially request tutoring services by completing the Request a Tutor form.

Step 3: Within 48 hours, check your MAC email for a message from Anne Volk. This message will contain the name of your assigned tutor and directions for scheduling.

You can only schedule with your assigned tutor.

Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction is a method of collaborative learning support where a student who has completed the class will attend your class, take notes, read homework assignments and then hold regular review sessions designed to help you become a better student.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) will continue to be offered through the Conference function in Canvas. Please check Canvas for information from your faculty member and SI leader as well as for any changes to dates and times for sessions.
