Program Overview

Pre-Law at Mount Aloysius College provides students with a solid liberal arts foundation for their law careers or graduate school. This academic program also provides students with valuable hands on experience by completing a required off-campus internship in the legal profession. Compared to other colleges of our size, Mount Aloysius has many Law (LW) courses to choose from. Also, we have a unique Pre-Law seminar course that helps prepare students for the Law School Aptitude Test (LSATs) and their future.   • Paralegal Certificate

This certificate is one of the fastest growing fields in the country. Students can join the award winning Legal Society which participates in the American Mock Trial Association's Regional Competition. Graduates have had significant placement into law schools due to our dedicated faculty. The department chair of this program is a practicing attorney and brings real world experience to the classroom. To take advantage of key programs at Mount Aloysius, students have the opportunity to double major and differentiate themselves in the real world.

Additionally, the program is committed to the pre-law educational objectives recommended by the American Bar Association's section on pre-law education.
