The American Sign Language Lab at Mount Aloysius is the only one of its kind in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. The Sony Virtuoso American Sign Language Learning System software gives students the ability to communicate with their professor and other students in the class using video windows that appear on their computers. Students are able to view themselves signing on their own computer while listening to audio exercises on their headset as well as observe other classmates while they sign. ASL professors can view work the students have done from a video file that each student creates.
