100% Pass Rate for Sign Language/Interpreter Education Seniors
All seniors in the Sign Language/Interpreter Education program have passed the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) National Interpreters Certification (NIC) knowledge exam. Each student took the Certification Preparation course which fully prepares students to excel at this exam.
"I am very proud of myself as well as the success of my students. I understand the importance and difficulty of this certification and the faster the profession grows the quicker we need to be on top of the changing profession," Nicole Luther, Instructor of Sign Language, said.
Achieving RID certification is a valued asset to all interpreters that helps them serve as professional communicators in churches, schools, courtrooms, hospitals, theaters, and many other settings.
The RID is a national membership organization representing the professionals who aid in the communication between people who are deaf or hard of hearing and people who can hear. This organization supports their members through education, standards, relationships, and resources.
