Even the best students can sometimes use a helping hand to achieve academic success. Thanks to the information, services, and resources supplied by our Department of Educational Enrichment, that helping hand is always within reach.

Educational Enrichment Program/Act 101
Sometimes, students are motivated to succeed but may not meet the traditional standards for college entry. Our Educational Enrichment Program provides special support for these and other students.

EEP focuses on individual student needs and abilities and offers a comprehensive program of academic, personal and cultural development opportunities. Participation is initiated by invitation, but all students are encouraged to call us for more information concerning their eligibility.

Additional funding for this program is supplied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mount Aloysius College is an Act 101 institution.

The Learning/Writing Center
The Department of Educational Enrichment's Learning/Writing Center is the perfect environment to inspire academic and personal success.

In the bright, spacious rooms of the Learning/Writing Center, you'll find state-of-the-art computers and professional staff to assist in your activities. This outstanding new facility is designed for one purpose: to help you reach for the stars.

Educational Enrichment Courses and Placement Testing
Academic success is our goal for you. Through placement testing and courses designed to enhance reading, English and math skills, we provide a foundation of academic strength that can boost your skills and your chances for success.

Tutoring
Isn't it easier to understand difficult material when somebody sits down and explains it to you face-to-face?

Well, you'll find that kind of personal attention in our excellent tutoring program. If you'd like some help in any of approximately 35 courses, we'll supply a peer tutor to guide you over the rough spots. And it's free of charge to full-time Mount Aloysius College students.

If you excel in a particular course, we might even invite you to tutor other students who may be having temporary difficulties! It's a win-win situation!

All educational enrichment courses are open to any Mount Aloysius student on a space available basis. All Mount Aloysius students, regardless of academic stand-ing, have open access to the Learning Center and to skill development programs tai-lored to fit their individual needs.
