Amanda Minor, B.S., C.S.T., Chairperson for the Surgical Technology Department, is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Related Professions. Amanda has been practicing as a Certified Surgical Technologist since 2000 and transitioned her career to the Mount in February 2007. Amanda brings to the surgical technology program an extensive knowledge in cardiac, vascular, general, and urology procedures to name a few.
Leigh Ann Robertson is a Certified Surgical Technologist who graduated from the Surgical Technology Program here at the Mount in 2000. She has worked in the field since that time and specializes in Orthopedic, General, and ENT surgeries. She has been a clinical instructor for the program since 2004 and escorts her students to Indiana Regional Medical Center for the clinical portion of the program. Leigh Ann states, "Surgical Technology is a very unique, fun, and interesting field that has a positive impact on the lives of others.
"The Nursing program at Mount Aloysius College offers advanced technology and small class sizes. More importantly, the College has amazing faculty with the knowledge and compassion to help you succeed. I earned the education and skills that I needed to pass my boards and, with their guidance, I am now a competent and confident nurse."
