Minors
Requirements
Minors can only be declared in baccalaureate degree programs and outside the major field of study. The following is required when declaring a minor in baccalaureate degree programs:
- A minor program contains a minimum of eighteen (18) credits, determined by the department offering the minor. Half of those credits must be earned at Mount Aloysius College while matriculated in a bachelor's degree program.
- The minor must be declared by the student and approved by the department in which the minor is to be earned. This declaration and approval must be completed prior to beginning the senior year.
- Students may complete more than one minor.
- The student must earn a minimum grade of "C" in each required course if the minor is to be reflected on the transcript.
- Fields of study which do not currently offer a major may offer a minor.
- The student's advisor in his/her major must grant approval for the minor.
- The student will declare the minor on a form in the Registrar's Office.
