Act 48 Seminars
The Center for Lifelong Learning at Mount Aloysius College offers one-week seminars in the summer for K-12 teachers and administrators seeking ACT 48 credit. Each seminar is worth three undergraduate credits. The “T.R.A.I.L.” seminars emphasize Teacher Renewal And Interdisciplinary Learning through key components of Technology, Renewal, Artistic expression, Investigation, and Learning. Educators learn about the subject matter in ways that can be used in the classroom. Participants will create an “idea suitcase” to take with them from the course.
Seminars planned for Summer 2008 include:
CLL 403.C3 - T.R.A.I.L. to Humor (3 cr.)
June 16 - 20
$300 per credit
In this course, educators will learn more about humor through these components in ways that can be used in the classroom.
CLL 404.C3 - T.R.A.I.L. to Diversity (3 cr.)
June 23 - 27
$300 per credit
In this course, educators will learn more about diversity through these key components in ways that can be used in the classroom.
CLL 407.C3 - T.R.A.I.L. to Advanced Technology (3 cr.)
July 7 - 11
$300 per credit
In this course, educators will learn more selected technology tools and their practical application in the classroom. Each participant will create an idea suitcase to take with him or her from the course.
CLL 416.C3 - T.R.A.I.L. to Teacher Technology (3 cr.)
June 16-20
$300 per credit
In this course, educators will learn more about technology tools and their practical application in the classroom. Each participant will create an idea suitcase to take with him or her from the course.
