Admission Requirements — Bachelor’s and Associate’s Degree
Prospective students must submit the following materials to the Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, PA 16630, (814) 886-6383:
- Application for admission with non-refundable $30 fee; payable once;
- Evidence of completion (or anticipated completion) of study at an approved secondary school (or GED diploma), college transcript if transferring from another college;
- SAT or ACT college board scores. Taking the college placement test does not exempt a student from submitting the SAT or ACT scores. College board scores must be received prior to matriculation.
*Note: College board scores are not required of an applicant who has graduated five years prior to date of application. Unless specifically requested for a particular reason.
a. Nursing applicants must provide evidence of completion of an associate’s degree earned at a regionally-accredited college or diploma in nursing from an approved school of nursing (for those students applying for the RN-BSN program only), with a minimum 2.0 cumulative quality point average;
b. College or nursing school transcript. - Health forms including health history, physical exam and immunization record, are obtained from the Health Services Offices. Completed health forms are returned to the Director of Health Services and kept confidential. Health forms are required of all students prior to the start of classes.
An official copy of the college or diploma school of nursing transcript must be sent directly to the Dean of Enrollment Management; transcript must currently indicate the date, type of degree, and field of study. Although students may be admitted into the RN-BSN program before being licensed to practice, evidence of licensure must be submitted before enrolling in NU 316P Leadership Practicum.
Students who have previously attended college will be accepted as degree candidates if they fulfill the requirements for entering freshman. An official transcript for each college or university attended must be submitted along with a course description for each class the student may wish to have considered for transfer to Mount Aloysius College.
