From an internship at the University of North Carolina Health Care System in Chapel Hill, NC, to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, to Senator John Wozniak’s office in Johnstown, Mount Aloysius students have taken advantage of the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real world setting.

Additional Financial Aid Made Available for 2009-10 Academic Year. MAC students will be able to receive more financial aid through scholarships and grant monies.
Any good cook knows that “the proof of the pudding is in the eating” – that is, the true value or quality of something can only be judged when it’s put to use. The Mount Aloysius College community is currently discovering the true value of their Strategic Planning Operational Plan - 2008-2011. The plan is the result of ingredients mixed through several months of work, including the input of the Alumni Board in October/November 2007.
Mount Aloysius has developed a program for its first semester students to assist them in their preparations for beginning studies at the college. The Mount Aloysius Academic Preparation Program (MAAPP) is a residential, early entrance and week-long program aimed at easing the transition from high school to college, thereby increasing a student’s chance of being successful at Mount Aloysius College.
The College received official notification from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in August that its application for membership into Division III had been accepted.

It has been a very busy winter on Cresson Mountain. The Alumni Relations and Annual Giving Office is working on increasing communications with both alumni and friends. Our goal is to provide you with more opportunities to engage with one another and Mount Aloysius.
President’s Day may have been a holiday for most of the educators across the nation, however former education students from Mount Aloysius took the time to “teach” MAC students the rewards and challenges of entering the teaching profession.

Angela Ianuzzi is one of the most visible and active young alumni of Mount Aloysius College.
The Distinguished Alumni Award was established by the Alumni Association in 2006. This is the third group to receive these prestigious awards.
Mount Aloysius College graduates from all eras were important supporters for the recently-completed Campaign for MAC that ended last summer with more than $8.3 million committed, including $1.4 million for the College’s annual fund.
Faculty and Staff contribute in so many important ways to life at Mount Aloysius College. Gifts of time, talent and financial resources are not uncommon from MAC employees college-wide.
Attempts at gathering alumni from various regions of the country have been going strong.
