Beverly (O'Donnell) Huber, '38A
Beverly remembers getting homesick when she first attended Mount Aloysius Academy. "It was a wonderful place and I remember going sledding with Sr. Gertrude," she recalls. Beverly's memories also include what a wonderful person Sr. Mary deSales was. To Beverly, "she was a Saint."
Lois (Eager) Bishop, '45A
Lois and her husband John celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 7, 2007. They stopped by campus for family photos and to share memories of the Golden Staircase. They are very proud of their five children, fifteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Lois and John reside in Cresson, PA.
Clem Fogel, '49, '51
Clem Fogel has a lifelong love of music. This April, the Altoona YMCA honored Clem with the "Arts and Letters" Award at the annual "Tribute to Women" recognition dinner. Clem's accomplishments include 38 years of teaching piano to you students and 28 years of playing the organ at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, in Altoona, PA as well as various social organizations.
Maryann (McKenrick) Bradley, '52C
To Maryann, Mount Aloysius was like home. It still holds a very special place in her heart. When she comes to campus, the first place she visits is the beautiful Mercy Chapel. Maryann is enjoying retirement and resides in Lebanon, PA. She stays in touch with classmate, Josephine Rosamelia.
Sr. Robin Stratton, O.C.D., '57A
Sr. Robin is happy to share that she will be celebrating her 50th Anniversary as a Carmelite on October 25th with friends and family in Baltimore, MD.
Helen (Damiano) Biller, '67
Helen remembers going to the Pennway Diner and hanging out with friends. They called it the "greasy spoon" but spent many evenings enjoying the food, fun, and company of friends. Helen met her late husband, William, while here in Cresson.
Patricia (Parrish) Doabt '71
After losing her husband Jim Lynch after a lengthy illness, Patricia married Ray Doabt in 2002. Patricia now has two step-children, Carie, a paramedic and Dave, a laborer. Dave and his wife, Janet have graced Pat and Ray with a 4-year-old grandson. At the end of March, Pat and Ray expect to welcome their second grandchild!
Bernadette Hattjar, '72
Bernadette received her Mount Aloysius Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award November 13, 2007. Bernadette currently serves as Professor of Occupational Therapy at Gannon University and received her doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy in August, 2007. Gannon University Occupational Therapy Department faculty and students helped share in the honor at a reception held in Bernadette's honor.
Jane (Mandel) Hurley, '73
Jane has many fond memories of Mount Aloysius. She remembers coming to Cresson for the first time, not knowing anyone. "Without Sr. Margaretta Phillips, I would not have become the person I am today. Raymond Sunseri, '73
Raymond currently works at Nason Hospital in Roaring Springs, PA and finds it to be a very rewarding career. He thinks about Mount Aloysius often and some of his best memories include his time spent on-campus. "If it wasn't for Sr. Benedict Joseph, I would never have gotten past the first day of algebra!" Virginia "Gina" (Bishop) Zabinsky, '74
Gina worked with Sr. Benedicta to construct the large, stained glass, wooden dividers that are still used in the Cosgrave Dining Hall. While attending Mount Aloysius, she worked in the bookstore and at the switchboard on weekends and holidays. Gina and her husband, Frank, reside in Hollidaysburg, PA. Becky (Burns) Sease '76
Becky A. Sease, RN, MSN, Instructor of the Nursing RN Options Program at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown was awarded a 2007 Cameos of Caring Award from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Nursing. Sease is part of a select group of nursing professionals who represent excellence in nursing education. In 1998, the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing Dean, Dr. Ellen B. Rudy, realized the need to acknowledge and reward nurses for their contributions to quality care and created the Cameos of Caring Awards Program and Gala to honor exceptional bedside nurses. Since 1999, the Cameos of Caring Awards Program has honored nearly 300 individuals and raised more than $550,000 to support the educational advancement of registered nurses through the Cameos of Caring Endowed Scholarship. Sease received her master of science degree in nursing (MSN) in family nursing, a nursing administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, her bachelor's of science degree in nursing (BSN) from Gwynedd Mercy College, and associate of science degree in nursing (ASN) from Mount Aloysius College. She teaches six courses at UPJ and supervises clinical practicums in Health Promotion/Health Assessment and Community Health Nursing. She advises approximately 50 students majoring in RN Options, pre-nursing and pre-licensure, an students enrolled in independent study experiences. Sease is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She has published several study-guides and book reviews. She is an American Heart Association basic life support instructor, a National Safety Council, first aid instructor, a member and volunteer of the Humane Society of Cambria County, a March of Dimes volunteer, a Mother's Neighborhood March volunteer; a American Cancer Society Daffodil Day and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation volunteer, a member of the Richland School Athletic Boosters, and a volunteer for the notes to neighbors campaign, for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Margaret (Speitel) Bennett, '80
Margaret remembers her years at Mount Aloysius fondly. She had many close relationships and fun times with a dear group of friends. Lynne (Rager) Faint, '82
Lynne visited campus to speak to students as part of JARI's Upstarts and Innovators series. Lynne, owner of Principle Diversified Business Group Inc., shared her knowledge and expertise on entrepreneurship and business development. Lynne has started several companies that operate under the umbrella of the Principle Diversified Business Group, Inc. Lynne is just one of several alumni who serve as a critical resource to faculty and staff in the continued education and development of MAC students. Kimberly Cobaugh, '86
Kim Cobaugh serves as the Administrator at Communities at Indian Haven, a Nursing care facility located in Indiana, PA. Since graduating from the nursing program, Kim continues to live in the Mercy spirit and tradition by providing compassionate care to the residents at Indian Haven.
Bob McGowan, '88, '05
Bob McGowan has remained an integral part of Mount Aloysius since graduating with his second degree in 2005. Bob can be seen on campus regularly with his video camera and has volunteered his services while he was a student, part-time employee, and an alumnus. No matter what, from setting-up, to servicing the needs of students, staff, and campus visitors, Bob goes beyond the call of duty. Bob was recently recognized at the Student Recognition banquet for the “Above and Beyond” award to the recognize his efforts in helping the Colleges Against Cancer Club’s Relay for Life held each spring on campus. Relay for Life began at Mount Aloysius five years ago and Bob has personally raised more than $14, 000. Recently, his efforts have helped the Alumni Relay for Life team become top fundraiser!
Tamara Stoner, '89
Even though the years have passed, Tamara has never forgotten Mount Aloysius or its instructors. She could not have had a better education. Tamara remembers her OTA instructor, Pat Marvin, and the care she gave to her students. "I was burdened by my course load and Pat took the time to listen and talk to me. My Mount Aloysius experience was first rate!"

Brenda married Matt Foster and most recently welcomed their fourth child Ruthanne in September, 2007. Baby sister joins siblings Rebecca, Rachael, and Ryan.

Chad, son of Karen Eppley ’94, MAC faculty secretary, married Julie Hubbard on August 25, 2007 at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown, PA. Julie is employed by Fairfax County Public Schools and Chad works for PricewaterhouseCoopers. The happy couple resides in Falls Church, VA.

Bridget married Robert Lieb on December 16, 2006. The couple currently resides in Nicktown, PA.
Lisa Marie Myers, ’01, ’03
Lisa Marie Myers and James Scott Evans Smith were married on May 12, 2007. The wedding ceremony was held at St. Demetrius Chapel, formerly St. Mary’s Church, in Gallitzin, PA. The reception was held at the Gallitzin American Legion. The couple honeymooned at Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Lisa has been employed as an interpreter for the hearing impaired at Intermediate Unit 10 for the past five years. She currently works at the Westbranch Middle School in Alport, PA. James is employed at Keith's Country and The Music Emporium in Altoona. At this time, Lisa and James reside in Cresson, PA.

Renee and Alberto proudly announce their engagement and are looking forward to a 2009 wedding. Renee is currently looking for employment while planning her move to Mexico. Alberto keeps very busy working as an accountant for the Packaging Store in Leon, Mexico. He also works part time teaching Mexican sign and Spanish to youths and professional adults, teaching exercise and fitness at the local athletic park, and is the Vice President of the Deaf Association in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. Gale Bowen, ’08
Gale Bowen is a woman on the move…. In less than a month since graduating from Mount Aloysius with a Bachelor’s degree in Sign Language/Interpreter Education, Gale became the first student/graduate to be accepted into a position and mentoring program with VIABLE, a Video Rely Company. During her few short years on campus, Gale has many notable accomplishments. The most prominent project she developed was the creation of a one-day sign language camp for the 100 hearing children. Gale created job descriptions, schedules, and guidelines for 50 American Sign Language (ASL) student volunteers. At the most recent sign camp, Gale added 10 Deaf instructors to teach ASL to children in the community to interact with other deaf children in their community. If that wasn’t enough, she also led the effort to fund a teacher/role model for Deaf students in Nicaragua for an entire year, raising more than $2,800 in just four days!
