| Game Notes: | BRADFORD- The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team never lost the lead and held on late to defeat Pitt-Bradford in an AMCC opening round playoff game on Tuesday evening. The Mount was up by 11 with 1:24 remaining in the contest after Teddi Burkett drilled two free throws. Bradford stayed in it with a three-point shot from Allison Osborne on the next possession, and another shot from behind the arc from Alicia Kimmel with 27 seconds to go cut it to three. The Mount missed two of its next three free throws, but held on after Bradford's Carly Dalton was off on another three-point attempt. The Mount jumped out to an early 16-4 lead after a Becky Bard fastbreak lay-in with 11:48 remaining in the opening half. With 3:28 to go, Bard hit another shot on the break to create a nine-point advantage, and the Mounties took a 27-20 lead into the break. The Mount led by double digits throughout much of the second half, and a Lindsy Sammarco jumper increased the lead to 14 with 5:09 to go before the Bradford comeback and late game drama. Bard paced the Mount with 23 points and five steals. Burkett (13), Sammarco (11) and Olivia Rupp (10) also finished in double figures. Rupp added 10 rebounds. Geena Sneeringer led Pitt-Bradford with 15 points. Kimmel added 14 and eight rebounds. With the win, the Mount advances to a playoff semifinal at #1 seed La Roche Friday evening.
