Pitt-Bradford 4, Mount Aloysius 0

The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team fell victim to three goals in a five minute span in the first half and lost 4-0 to Pitt- Bradford on Saturday afternoon in AMCC conference action.

The Mounties were up to the task early of limiting Pitt-Bradford's scoring chances. However, the visitors got in behind the defense in the 19th minute and went up 1-0. Pitt-Bradford tacked on two more goals in quick succession and went into the half with a 3-0 lead.

The Mount continued to show strong resolve in the second half of play in defending against the Pitt-Bradford attack. After a Vicky Delong goal increased the advantage to 4-0, senior midfielder Katelyn Shull and freshman attacker Megan Parker each created scoring chances in the box. However, Shull's shot was stopped by Pitt-Bradford goalie Alisa Cornell, and Parker's shot was deflected wide.

Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Challingsworth recorded 8 saves on the day, and senior Lara Appiah had a strong game in defense.
