HUNTINGDON--Mount Aloysius downed Penn State-Altoona 88-64 in the opening round of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.

The Mounties went on a 19-2 run midway through the first half, resulting in a 43-22 half time lead. Their lead would grow to as many as 30 points in the second stanza.

Demetrius Davis paced Mount Aloysius with a game-high 26 points. Jeff Stem added 24 points.

Penn State-Altoona was led by Matt Gerhet with 14 points, and Jon Rossh with 12 points.

Mount Aloysius will face host Juniata College, who defeated Kean University 53-49, in the tournament's championship game. Tip off is set for 4 pm.
