PITTSBURGH—Mount Aloysius suffered their first conference loss of the season, with an 83-69 loss to La Roche.

The Mounties struggled on the boards throughout the contest. La Roche outrebounding Mount Aloysius 54-27.

Despite the rebounding deficit, Mount Aloysius trailed just 34-35 at the half.

Mount Aloysius was able to stay within striking distance until a pair of David Jackson free throws at the 8:44 mark gave the host team their first double-digit lead of the game. Mount Aloysius would not get any closer.

Jeff Stem scored a game high 23 points for Mount Aloysius, and Tanner Thomas added 16.

Jackson led La Roche with 20 points and 22 rebounds.
