CRESSON- The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team got back on track with an 85-82 conference victory over visiting Hilbert College on Saturday afternoon.

The Mounties were paced by Demetrius Davis and Dameon Turner. Davis poured in 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting, while Turner shot 9-of-12 for 18 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Hilbert jumped out to a slight edge early as a layup by Jerame Owners provided a 26-18 lead with 10:46 to go. The Mount fought back as the half wore on, and a layup by Davis with 52 seconds left gave the home team a 42-39 lead heading into the break.

The sides continued to battle and exchange the lead in the second half. Hilbert showed signs of pulling away as it took an eight-point lead with 5:48 remaining. However, the Mount went on a 16-5 run to end the game to take the 85-82 victory.

Jeff Stem also finished in double figures for the Mount with 18 points, while guards Nolan Doyle and Kyle Baughman came off the bench to combine for 12 assists and 11 rebounds.

Hilbert was paced by 23 points from Anthony Hodge and 17 points and 11 rebounds from Owens.

Mount Aloysius improves to 8-4 overall and 4-1 in AMCC play and returns to action tomorrow for another conference affair at home against D'Youville.
