Troutville, VA- Mount Aloysius' Kelsey Ickes pitched the first perfect game in the 13-year history of the Mount Aloysius softball program in a 5-0 win over Castleton on Saturday afternoon in the finale of the Roanoke Valley College Softball Bash.
Ickes was sensational as the sophomore struck out six Castleton hitters.
Offensively, the Mount did all its damage in the fifth inning as Marissa Ayers provided the highlight with a grand slam with two outs to break open the ballgame.
The Mounties finish the weekend 4-0 and improve their overall record to 10-3. Their next contest will be a 3:30 p.m. start at Westminster on Monday afternoon.
