Phonathon Memories

Nursing clinicals, Sr. B.J., Sr. Assumpta, and Sr. Urban, cafeteria food, the chicken coop, and chemistry class are all popular topics during Phonathon. "How is the weather in Cresson today?" is a common question asked by alumni. Many good memories include the snowy, white winter season on Cresson Mountain with snowball fights and sledding down the hill on trays taken from the cafeteria. One Phonathon student remembers a conversation starting with "There's no snow like Cresson snow."

Phonathon student, Melissa Good, '07, remarks about speaking with an alum who gave her great advice - "Reach for the stars." Crystal Sunseri, ‘09, remembers talking with alumni from the 60's. "They really enjoyed their years at Mount Aloysius and truly love the school. I remember one alum who met her husband at the St. Vincent's dance in her freshman year and thirty-seven years later they are still happily married."

The call room goes quiet as stories are told about campus life from years ago.  Many alumni have fond memories of lifetime friendships, jokes played on classmates, dances, the scary fireplace in the Administration building, and those “famous names” written in chalk in the bell tower.
