| Game Notes: | STEVENSON, MD- Mount Aloysius fell victim to a four-run first inning by Stevenson and lost 8-3 on the road in non-conference play on Sunday afternoon. After digging themselves into the 4-0 hole, the Mount got a run back in the top of the second. Aaron Kovach tripled to right-center field to start things off. Cory Dick drove him in a few batters later with an RBI single. In the top of the fourth, the Mount got another run after Ian Helsel singled home Dick to make it a 4-2 ballgame. However, Stevenson responded with four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to seize control and take the victory. Luke Szymanski had a great day at the plate for the Mount going 4-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Kovach and Dick each went 2-for-4 on the day. The Mount hurt itself offensively by leaving 13 runners on base. Mount Aloysius will be in action again when they travel to Myrtle Beach, SC. They will open up with Catholic University on March 3rd at 3 p.m. at the Ripken Complex. |
