| Game Notes: | Carlisle, PA - The Mount Aloysius college baseball team, paced by another dominating pitching performance by Derrick Capiak, extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 7-2 over Dickinson on Monday afternoon. Capiak improved his record on the hill to 6-1 with a nine-inning complete game effort. He allowed six hits and two runs while walking one and striking out six. The Mount broke open a 1-0 ballgame with three runs in the visiting third. Luke Szymanski drove in one with a single, and Cory Dick brought home two more with a single to right field. Holding a 4-2 lead, the Mount gave Capiak some breathing room in the sixth as Patrick Gully drew a bases-loaded walk, then Aaron Kovach ripped a single that brought it Brock Gladfelter to make it 6-2. After adding a run in the eighth, Capiak closed it out by allowing just one hit in the final two innings. The Mount will be back in action tomorrow as they host Juniata for a non-conference doubleheader. |
