| Game Notes: | Buffalo, NY - With an incredible rally in their last-at bat, the Mount Aloysius College baseball team forced extra innings and won 8-7 while taking a two-game sweep of Medaille on Saturday afternoon. After taking game one 11-2, the Mount stunned the home team in game two. With the sweep, the Mount earns the #3 seed in the upcoming AMCC tournament and a home playoff game. The Mounties found themselves down 7-3 in game two heading into their final at-bat. After loading the bases with one out, Connor Bowie hit an RBI single to make it 7-4. Alexander Martin then followed with a SAC fly to center to make it a 7-5 ballgame. With two away, Ian Helsel came up big with a triple that brought in Bowie and Jacob Stumpf to complete the rally and force extras. In the top of the eighth, the Mount's Aaron Kovach singled and stole second. With two outs, Julius Niemand came up with the clutch triple to give the Mount an 8-7 lead. Cameron Kyle then retired the side in order in the home eighth to give the Mount the win. Helsel finished game two 3-for-4, which also included a solo home run in the third inning. |

| Game Notes(DH): | In game one, the Mount cruised to an 11-2 win behind three RBIs each from Bowie and Martin and more stellar pitching from ace Derrick Capiak. The Mount scored four runs in the second inning and two more in the third to take control. Bowie, Martin and Stumpf all finished 3-for-4 at the plate. On the hill, Capiak earned another win while going six innings and allowing five hits and two runs. He also struck out five. Kyle Lawson finished off the win with a scoreless seventh inning. The Mount will now await their opponent for a home playoff game next Saturday. |
