Game Notes: Cresson, PA - With a combined 22 runs on 27 hits, the Mount Aloysius baseball team swept Hilbert by identical scores of 11-4 in an AMCC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

In game one, the Mount took an early 5-1 lead before breaking the game open in the home fourth. Seth Shaffer got it started with an RBI double, then Aaron Kovach singled in two more. Kovach then scored on a single by Cory Dick, and the lead reached 10-1 after Connor Bowie scored.

Kovach went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, while Dick had a 3-for-4 showing at the plate with three RBIs.

On the hill, Cameron Kyle earned the victory after going five strong innings while allowing one earned run. Kyle Lawson came on to close out the ballgame.

Game Notes(DH): In game two, it was all Mounties early as the home team put up nine runs in their first four at-bats to take the commanding 9-0 lead en route to an easy victory.

Bowie, Luke Szymanski, Kovach and Dick each had two RBIs in game two. Kovach had another 3-for-3 showing to finish the day at a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate.

Paul Rogerson got the win in game two on the mound as he threw 4.2 innings before being relieved by Greg Wierzbicki. Wierzbicki was dominant in relief as he struck out six of the ten hitters he faced.

The Mount returns to action tomorrow with a doubleheader at home against Pitt-Bradford.
