| Game Notes: | Myrtle Beach, SC - The Mount Aloysius baseball team got off to a great start on their spring break trip with a commanding 14-5 win over previously unbeaten Catholic University on Sunday afternoon. All nine Mount Aloysius starters recorded at least one hit as the Mounties combined for 19 in the game, including triples from Jacob Stumpf and Connor Bowie. Holding a 6-5 lead, the Mount exploded for four runs in the home seventh to take command, and added four more in the 8th to erase all doubt. Brock Gladfelter, Aaron Kovach and Stumpf each recorded three hits, while Stumpf drove in a game-high three RBIs. Derrick Capiak got the win on the mound for the Mounties, striking out eight 6.2 innings of work. Brady Ring came on for the save in relief. |
