Cresson--The Mount Aloysius men's basketball could not hold onto a second half lead and fell to host Penn State-Behrend, 82-62.
The Mounties held a narrow 42-40 lead, before succumbing to a near 8 minute scoring drought that resulted in a 19-3 Penn State-Behrend run.
"We were getting good looks, but we went cold. Couple that with a few turnovers, and the result was a hole we couldn't dig back out of," Mount Aloysius coach Lance Loya said.
Armond Perez paced the Mounties with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Harold Clark added 15 points, including 3 three-pointers.
The Mounties held Penn State-Behrend's Chris Saltzman, the AMCC's top scorer, to just 6 points. Justin Kovac (17), Russ Conley (16), Adam Kaiser (15), and Nick Thorsen (15) each scored in double digits, however. |
