| Game Notes: | CRESSON- On his senior night, Mount Aloysius guard Demetrius Davis scored 22 points while recording his 1,000th career point as the Mount cruised past visiting Franciscan 81-60 on Wednesday evening. Also honored for the Mount were senior Jeff Stem and junior Kyle Baughman, who will be graduating in three years this spring. Stem registered a double-double of 16 points and ten boards while Baughman had 13 and six assists. Both added four steals. It was all Mount early as the home team jumped out to a 10-0 lead with two Davis three pointers and a Dameon Turner dunk. The Barons cut the deficit to four with 14:43 to go, but the Mounties increased the lead to 16 on two Baughman free throws at the 8:36 mark. The lead remained at 16 heading into half after Stem nailed a fadeaway jumper while adding a free throw as time expired. The lead reached 24 on an Aaron Patrick layup with 13:24 remaining in the second half, and Franciscan got no closer than 19 down the stretch. The Mount outrebounded Franciscan 58-34. Mount Aloysius returns to action for their regular season finale Saturday at 3 p.m. when they travel to D'Youville. |
