|Game Notes:||BUFFALO- The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team saw their season come to an end with a 97-68 loss to host Medaille in an AMCC opening round playoff game on Tuesday evening.
The visiting Mounties suffered from a cold shooting night as they shot 21-for-67, including a 5-for-22 mark from behind the arc.
The Mounties were in it early as a Kyle Baughman layup with 11:17 remaining in the opening half cut the decifit to six. However, a 23-6 run by Medaille over the next seven minutes opened up a significant lead. Medaille took a commanding 46-24 advantage into the break.
The Mount would get no closer than 20 in the second stanza as Medaille advanced to the semifinals.
Davario Barksdale led the Mount with 17 points, including a 9-for-10 showing at the foul line. In his final game in a Mount uniform, Jeff Stem had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Demetrius Davis, who recently hit the 1,000 point mark on his Senior Night, finished with 12 points. Baughman, who will be graduating early in May, had four points.
Medaille was paced by Jammal Coleman, who had 23 points, five assists and four steals.
The loss ends up a tremendous season for the Mount, as they set a program record with 16 victories.
