FREDERICK, MD.—Despite having five players score in double-figures, Mount Aloysius lost to Penn State-Harrisburg 84-72, in the Hood Rotary Tournament.
Sophomore Tanner Thomas came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points for Mount Aloysius. Davario Barksdale (12), Demetrius Davis (11), Jeff Stem (10), and Dameon Turner (10) were the other double digits scorers.
Mount Aloysius led by 5 points with 51 seconds to go in the first half, but a pair of untimely turnovers allowed PSU-Harrisburg to grab a 37-35 half time lead.
The Mounties committed 16 first half turnovers, while shooting just 1-8 from long range. Their shooting woes continued in the second half, as did their turnovers.
Mount Aloysius finished the game with 27 turnovers, and shot just 1-16 from behind the arc.
Freshman John LeGrande was named to the all-tournament team for Mount Aloysius.
