STEUBENVILLE- The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team made it five wins in a row with an 87-57 victory over Franciscan on Monday night on the road.

In just 17 minutes of action, Jeff Stem led the Mount with 23 points including five three-point shots. Demetrius Davis was next in line with 18 points in 15 minutes of play, and Jake Wyatt recorded 13 rebounds and three blocks off the bench.

The Mount limited the Barons to 29 percent shooting and outrebounded the home side 50-27.

The beginning of the first half was even as the Barons tied things up 20-20 halfway through the opening period. However, the Mount got hot and went on a 20-0 run that included 10 points courtesy of Stem. The visitors took a comfortable 47-24 advantage into half.

The lead was pushed to 28 on a Davis layup with 15:28 to play in the second half and the Mount cruised to victory down the stretch as all 12 players who saw action dented the scoring column.

The Mount returns to action on Wednesday evening when it hosts Pitt-Greensburg at 8 p.m.
