| Game Notes: | Greensburg, PA- After winning game one 7-2, the Mount Aloysius softball team lost 7-6 in game two while splitting a conference doubleheader with Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon. In game two, Kelsey Ickes controlled things on the rubber for the Mount. In a complete-game effort, she allowed two hits and one earned run while striking out six. The Mount took a 2-1 lead in the top of the third. The visitors loaded the bases before Morgan Paynter walked to bring in a run. Meaghan Thomas then grounded out to bring in another. The Mounties held a 4-2 lead before expanding it in their final at-bat. Kiersten Lorditch hit an RBI single after the Mount loaded the bases. Lindsy Sammarco then doubled in two more to make it 7-2 before Ickes closed it out. Sammarco finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Jalisa Westover went 3-for-5 at the plate. |

| Game Notes(DH): | Pitt-Greensburg used a five-run sixth inning to come back from a 6-2 deficit to take game two. The home side put up five hits in the inning. Down 7-6 heading into their last at-bat, the Mount put runners on first and third with two away but couldn't tie things up. The Mount used a four-run showing in the top of the fourth to take control midway through the game. Sammarco provided the big hit of the inning with a double that brought in Taylor Mansfield and Kaleigh Roop. Westover went deep in the first inning with a two-run home run, her third homer of the season. Roop was 2-for-2 at the plate in game two. The Mount is back in action tomorrow with a non-conference doubleheader against Waynesburg. |
