| Game Notes: | Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius softball team earned the #5 seed in the upcoming AMCC playoffs with a split in their regular season finale against Medaille on Saturday afternoon. After taking game one 6-3, the Mounties lost 6-4 in game two. In game one, the Mount took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. After Kaleigh Roop scored, Meagan Thomas singled in the Mount's second run. Up 2-1, the Mount scored twice in both the fifth and sixth innings to take control. Thomas scored after an error to start the fifth, and Roop recorded an RBI groundout. In the sixth, Lindsy Sammarco singled in a run and Danielle Hart followed with an RBI triple. Kelsey Ickes earned the victory in a complete-game effort. She allowed three earned runs and struck out nine. Hart was the only Mountie with multiple hits in game one as she went 2-for-4. |

| Game Notes(DH): | In game two, Medaille took the early lead with a three-run first inning. Mount Aloysius responded with two runs in its first at-bat. After Sammarco doubled to begin the inning, Hart tripled and scored on an error to make it 3-2. The Mounties added single runs in the second and third innings to take a 4-3 lead that they would hold into the game's final inning. However, Medaille notched three runs in the top of the seventh to take a 6-4 lead. The Mount couldn't muster up a rally in their final at-bat. Sammarco, Hart and Mansfield all had two hits apiece in game two. Shelby Kline was handed the loss. She allowed three runs (no earned runs) and struck out five in six innings of work. The Mounties will open up the AMCC tournament against #4 seed Pitt-Greensburg Friday morning at Penn State-Altoona. The winner will take on #1 seed Penn State-Altoona. |
