| Game Notes: | Myrtle Beach, SC - Led by a dominating pitching performance from Kelsey Ickes, the Mount Aloysius softball team defeated RMU-Springfield 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon. Ickes went the distance while allowing just four hits and one run. She also struck out eight and walked one in the game. The Mount got all the offense it would need in the bottom of the third. After a Jalisa Westover double, Emilee Gearhart homered to give the Mounties a 2-0 lead. The Mount added insurance runs in the fourth on a Kiersten Lorditch RBI single and in the fifth courtesy of a home run from Morgan Paynter. |
