| Softball Success Leads to the Postseason | 04/28/2009 |

The Mount Aloysius Softball team is excited to see their first postseason action in school history.
The Lady Mounties are 2nd in the AMCC behind perennial powerhouse Penn State-Behrend. Penn State-Behrend will have the home field advantage throughout the playoffs as they will be the acting host. The Lady Mounties will receive the first round by, as will Penn State-Behrend. The Blue and Grey's first playoff action will be Friday, May 1st, when they play the winner of the Medaille vs. Frostburg State game. Earlier this season Mount Aloysius split with Medaille College and swept Frostburg State. The Lady Mounties could potentially be only 3 wins away from the AMCC title. The Blue and Grey finish the regular season with a 26-10 overall record and a 14-4 conference record. |
