Whitney Giedroc

SEASON OUTLOOK/CAREER NOTES: Giedroc returns for her third season as the Mounties starting catcher in 2010. A stabi-lizing force behind the dish, Giedroc has established herself as one of the best defensive backstops in the conference. She showed a knack for coming through in the clutch throughout the season and possesses an excellent eye and bat at the plate.

2009 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Whitney started all 39 games last season * played every inning of every game behind the plate as a sophomore * threw out 95% of base runners * .352 batting average * 46 hits ( second in the conference) * 4 homeruns * 38 runs batted in ( second in the conference) * 14 walks * 69 total bases * 5-5 in stolen bases * .985 fielding percentage * 195 chances, 171 putouts, 21 assists, 3 errors. Honorable mention selection in the AMCC.

2008 FRESHMAN YEAR: batted .351, 94 at bats, 30 runs, 33 hits, 5 doubles, 3 homeruns, 15 RBI’S, 25 walks, 4-4 in stolen bases, 143 chances, 121 put outs, 13 assists, .937 fielding average Honorable Mention Selection.
