CARL TEETER

carl teeter headshotCarl Teeter begins his first season as head coach of the Lady Mounties softball team in 2008.

For the past six years, Teeter has coached the Tri-County Thunder Junior Olympic girls fast pitch softball team.

Teeter was a former standout athlete at Greater Johnstown High School, where he was a four-year letter winner in varsity baseball.  He also played for Alberters in the Johnstown Junior League.  Teeter is still an active player on the local organized softball scene.

He is a firm believer in fundamentals, and believes "that if the fundamentals are there...then the rest of the skills come more easily."

Teeter resides in nearby Johnstown, PA with his wife Claudine and daughters Alexandria and Gabrielle.  He is also employed as an electrician for the Greater Johnstown School District.

MICHELLE ROSS

06-07 sb michelle rossMichelle Ross has been instrumental in the recent turnaround of the Mount Aloysius softball program, particularly in the realm of recruiting. 

Ross enters her third season as a member of the Lady Mounties coaching staff.  She has considerable softball experience, and is also a highly respected player in the area's women's softball circuit.

Ross is also employed as an administrative assistant in the Mount Aloysius Athletic Department.

National Honor Society Inducts New Members 04-11-2008
Mount Aloysius College recently held the annual Phi Theta Kappa and Delta Epsilon Sigma induction ceremony. A total of 21 students were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and 38 students were inducted into the Delta Epsilon Sigma honor society.

On Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Academic Hall, Mount Aloysius College students will take part in a Service Learning Exposition to educate fellow students, faculty and staff about recent service learning projects they participated in.
Josip Mocnik, Library Director at Mount Aloysius, Earns Ph.D. in History 04-01-2008
Dr. Josip Mocnik, Library Director at Mount Aloysius College, will be awarded his Ph.D. in History from Bowling Green State University in May 2008. Dr. Mocnik’s goal is to be more engaged in teaching and he plans to teach courses on the history of American foreign relations and the history of Eastern Europe.
