| Game Notes: | BRADFORD- The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team saw their four-game winning streak snapped as the Mounties fell 68-63 on the road to Pitt-Bradford on Saturday afternoon in AMCC conference action. The Mount started off strong and a jumper from Olivia Rupp gave the visitors a 17-11 lead with 11:53 to play in the first half. A three-point shot from Lindsy Sammarco with 3:08 remaining gave Mount Aloysius its biggest lead of the day at 35-23, and the Mounties led by six heading into the break. Mount Aloysius maintained the advantage in the second half as Teddi Burkett drilled a jumper with 11:15 remaining to provide a 52-41 lead. Pitt-Bradford responded with a 20-9 run over the next eight minutes to tie things at 61-61. As time wound down, Pitt-Bradford's Alicia Kimmel hit a layup with 21 seconds left to give the home side a 65-63 lead, and the Mount's Alexis Restori was off on a jumper with eight seconds left. Pitt-Bradford secured the victory with a few free throws. Sammarco had 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a well-rounded effort. Becky Bard recorded 16 points and Restori had 12. Kimmel registered 24 points and six rebounds to pace Pitt-Bradford. Geena Sneeringer had 18 points and five steals. Women's basketball returns to action on Monday night for a 6 p.m. tipoff on the road against Franciscan. |

| Sammarco Named AMCC Player of the Week...Again - January 22, 2013 For the second time this season, Mount Aloysius’ Lindsy Sammarco earned A.M.C.C. Player of the Week for women’s basketball. Sammarco averaged 23.7 points per game for the week for the Lady Mounties. She also recorded a 6 rebound and 3.3 assist average. The junior guard shot 51.9% from the floor and 90% from the free throw line. She poured in a season-high 29 points in a key Mount Aloysius conference victory over Pitt-Greensburg. Sammarco is a 2010 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and is ranked second in the AMCC for points per game (18.0), sixth in assists per game (3.3), and is tied for fourth in free throw percentage (76.9%).
