| Game Notes: | CRESSON- The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team couldn't complete a furious comeback attempt in the second half and fell 73-64 to Pitt-Bradford in AMCC action on Saturday afternoon. Down 39-20 at halftime and 50-33 with 10:51 to play, the Mount embarked on a 19-5 run over a four and a half minute stretch. The run was capped by two Becky Bard free throws with 6:07 to go to make it a 55-52 ballgame. Bradford responded with a 10-3 run of its own and held on down the stretch. Bard and Teddi Burkett each recorded 18 points for the Mount, and Burkett added ten rebounds. Lindsy Sammarco had 14 points, six boards, six assists and four steals to help keep the Mount in it throughout. Bradford's Allison Osborne registered a game-high 19 points to lead the visitors. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Mounties have already clinched a playoff spot for the upcoming AMCC conference tournament. |

| Sammarco Named AMCC Player of the Week...Again - January 22, 2013 For the second time this season, Mount Aloysius’ Lindsy Sammarco earned A.M.C.C. Player of the Week for women’s basketball. Sammarco averaged 23.7 points per game for the week for the Lady Mounties. She also recorded a 6 rebound and 3.3 assist average. The junior guard shot 51.9% from the floor and 90% from the free throw line. She poured in a season-high 29 points in a key Mount Aloysius conference victory over Pitt-Greensburg. Sammarco is a 2010 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and is ranked second in the AMCC for points per game (18.0), sixth in assists per game (3.3), and is tied for fourth in free throw percentage (76.9%).
