| Game Notes: | PITTSBURGH- The Mount Aloysius women's basketball team saw their season come to an end with a 76-46 loss to La Roche in an AMCC tournament semifinal matchup on Friday evening. The Mounties struggled offensively as the visitors shot just 29 percent from the field and had 26 turnovers. Becky Bard was the lone Mount player in double figures with 15 points. Teddi Burkett recorded a team-high nine rebounds, and Lindsy Sammarco dished five assists to go along with three steals. The Mount did force 22 La Roche turnovers, but the home side shot an efficient 50.8 percent on the night. All five starters finished in double figures, and LaShauna Brothers registered a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds. With the loss, the Mount ends its season with an overall record of 17-10. They will return all five starters next season and their top eight scorers. |
