Lady Mounties Fall in the Finale 02/21/2009
 

Mount Aloysius closes out the year in a losing battle against Penn State-Altoona, 80-71.

The Lady Mounties started the game slowly but pulled within 2 points midway through the first half when Kaylee Keagy connected with a jumper, 23-21.

Going into the half Mount Aloysius was down by 9 points and struggled to find an answer for the Lady Lions 48% shooting from the field.

At the start of the second half Penn State-Altoona jumped out to an early lead, but the Lady Mounties would answer with efficient shooting.

Although, Mount Aloysius posted 44% shooting in the second half it would not be enough to down Penn State-Altoona, 80-71.

Carlie Frick has a stellar final appearance in the Blue and Grey, posting a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Kaylee Keagy led the Lady Mounties in scoring with 19 points and 2 shots from behind the arc.

Emily McKenna also connected with 2 shots from the 3 point line on her way to 14 points.

Seniors, Brooke Bryner posted 12 points and Amber Severa added 9 points and 6 rebounds.

Penn State-Altoona was led by Alicia Glasser with 21 points.

The Lady Mounties finish the season with a 7-18 overall record and a 5-13 record in the conference.
