Keagy Named AMCC Newcomer of the Year 03/6/2009

Pittsburgh--Mount Aloysius women's basketball player Kaylee Keagy was named the conference's newcomer of the year for the 2008-09 season.

Keagy lead the Lady Mounties in scoring this year with 14.0 points per game.  She ranked fourth in the conference in scoring.

The Altoona, PA native and Bishop Guilfoyle graduate also pulled down a team-best 6.7 rebounds per game, which ranked her 14th in the conference.

Keagy's performance this season also earned her second team all-conference honors.

As a true freshman, Keagy started in 22 of Mount Aloysius' 25 games this season.  She averaged nearly 29 minutes per game.

Keagy becomes the first Mount Aloysius women's basketball player in school history to earn AMCC Newcomer of the Year distinction.
