Marilyn Gregory

Marilyn Gregory has been the Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Coach since the program’s inception in 2003. Since then, both teams have grown into a competitive team in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of competitive experience to the sport. Her coaching philosophy includes individualized training programs, educating runners about proper nutrition & hydration, and injury prevention to help make running a lifetime competitive or recreational sport.

Coach Gregory is a native of Butler, PA and graduate of Butler High School where she was a standout middle distance runner. She is also a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a BS in Exercise Science, and a MED in Educational Leadership from St. Francis University.

Gregory was a member of Slippery Rock’s Division II Track & Field and Cross Country teams while in college. She was a record holder in the 4 X 400 relay, received All Conference in Track, 3rd place in the PSAC in the 400 meters, a member of the 1995 NCAA East Regional Cross Country Championship Team, and a member of the “Rock’s” 7th place finish in the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Coach Gregory resides in Flinton, PA. She still trains for local and regional races.  Recently, she was the gold medal winner in her age group in the 400m and 800m at the 2012 Masters Outdoor Track and Field Three Rivers Association Championships and Eastern Regional Championships.
