| Game Notes: | Thiel 2, Mount Aloysius 0 The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team was undone by two first-half goals by Thiel College in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. The Mounties put forth a strong defensive effort, but the Tomcats recorded goals at the beginning and end of the first half to take the 2-0 victory. Freshman Mackenzie Horne was solid throughout in the defensive backfield for Mount Aloysius. Junior midfielder Emily Burget had the Mounties best chance at goal midway through the first half, but her shot was denied by Thiel's Mark Oakey. The Mounties defense stood tall, especially in the second half, and senior Lara Appiah registered eight saves in goal. |
