|Game Notes:||Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer team lost 2-1 in double overtime to Thiel College at home on Saturday afternoon.
After a back-and-forth first half in which neither side found many opportunites, Olivia Woodley put the Mounties ahead 1-0. Liz Josephson sent in a well-placed free kick to the streaking Woodley, who tapped it past the Thiel keeper with one touch.
Thiel evened things up 1-1 in the 63rd minute on a goal from Nicole Jeschelnig. Both teams traded chances for the remainder of the half, but the game went into overtime.
In the second overtime, the Mount's Shelby Anderson had a great opportunity after a quick turn at the top of the box. However, her shot went just wide. A few minutes later, Thiel's Morgan Berg ended the game on a lofted shot from the right sideline with three minutes to play in the second sudden-death overtime session.
Kristin James stopped ten shots in net for the Mount, while Jessica Scott recorded six saves for Thiel.
Mount Aloysius will be back in action on Monday at home with a 2 p.m. matchup against Penn State-Beaver.
