|Game Notes:||Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team lost 1-0 at home to AMCC opponent Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon.
In an even-sided game, both teams had opportunities at goal throughout. Pitt Greensburg's Amanda Hydock and the Mount's Zara Apakoh each came up with some big stops to keep things deadlocked at 0-0 into the second half.
The Mount found their best chance midway through the first half as Olivia Woodley freed herself from the Greensburg defense, but her left-footed shot went just wide. Greensburg answered in the second half as Tiffani Downey had two solid looks at goal that were denied by Apakoh.
Downey would break the deadlock with just over three minutes to play on a breakaway opportunity, and the Mount couldn't find the equalizer in the closing moments.
With the loss, the Mount will now need victories in its final two games against D'Youville on Saturday and Franciscan on Tuesday for a chance to reach the AMCC playoffs.
