La Roche 2, Mount Aloysius 0

The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team lost a tightly contested conference game 2-0 to La Roche College on Wednesday afternoon on their home field.

In a defensive battle, the Mounties defensive backfield led by juniors Tonya Bibby and Nicole Schweinsberg held the visitors to just five shots on goal. Ultimately, La Roche found the back of the net in the middle of each half with goals from Bethanie Moreschi and Lindsey McKay to take home the victory.

Freshman goalie Lauren Challingsworth stopped three shots on the day for the Mounties.
