Barry Snyder enters his first year as head coach of the Lady Mounties soccer team in 2008.
Snyder formerly excelled as a student-athlete for the Grove City College men's soccer team. He was a four-year starter for the Wolverines, and was the team's Co-Captain his senior season.
In 2007, his efforts on the soccer pitch were recognized with PAC All-Conference honors. He was also named team MVP that same year.
Last summer, Snyder played in Nicaragua with the Athletes in Action summer tour.
He has a deep commitment to community service, and has been involved in a number of service projects over the past few years. Most recently, he participated in inner-city outreach missions in the Gulf Coast region, as part of the Katrina relief efforts.
Snyder holds a bachelor's degree in history, and currently resides in his hometown of Hollidaysburg, PA.
